How to be the best version of yourself this Ramadan?

ROYA LIBAAS

Ramadan is more than just fasting - it's a time for self-growth, reflection, and strengthening your connection with Allah. This month offers the perfect opportunity to become the best version of yourself.

Here are some ways you can make the most of this month.

1. Set Your Intentions

  • Remember Ramadan is a month of reflection, renewal and growth.
  • Make a list of goals : Both Spiritual and Personal.
  • Write them down somewhere, and check in weekly to make sure you are staying on track.

2. Strengthen Your Connection with Allah

  • Increase your daily Quran recitation, and make time to understand it.
  • Make dua consistently, especially at Iftaar and Suhoor time.
  • Focus on your Salah properly, pray it slowly without rushing and incorporate zikr & istighfar into your routine.

3. Work on your Character

  • Ramadan is a time of purifying the heart and mind, as much as the body.
  • Be more kind, patient and forgiving.
  • Avoid any type of negativity, anger and refrain from gossip and backbiting.

4. Give Back & Be Charitable

  • Donate to those in need, even if it’s small but consistent.
  • Help family, friends, and your community with acts of kindness.
  • Volunteer for local initiatives or support online charities.

5. Take Care of Your Body & Mind

  • Eat nutritious meals at Suhoor & Iftar for energy.
  • Stay hydrated and get enough rest.
  • Engage in light movement like walking to stay active.

6. Use Your Time Wisely

  • Reduce social media scrolling and use that time for Qur’an, learning, or reflection.
  • Set daily time blocks for worship, work, and self-improvement.
  • Listen to islamic lectures, attend local halaqas.
  • Sleep early to make Tahajjud & Fajr easier.

Strengthen your faith, build better habits, and make this month truly meaningful.
